The mobiles displayed here are part of the "Industrial Wedding Series" of crane mobiles dedicated to the marriages of my dear friends (Dominik to Julia and Jason to Charli) for whom the 1000 cranes were made. According to Asian tradition, the 1000 cranes offer abundance, health, healing and wealth to those people for whom they were created as a gift. The first wedding transpired at Burning Man 2001 where these mobiles were displayed within a geodesic dome. The second wedding will be in the Summer of 2002.
