If you know some poi already but don't know what level you're at, take this short quiz to determine which classes would work best for you:

• Do you know the weave?

• The underhand weave?

• The butterfly?

• The underhand butterfly?

• Transitioning from over hand to underhand behind your back?

• Transitioning from underhand to overhand over your head?

• The clockwise pinwheel?

• The counter-clockwise pinwheel?

If you answered no to half of them, a advanced beginner or beginner dance class is the class for you.

If you answered no to three quarters of them, the beginner poi is where you would want to start.

If you answered yes to all of those, which of the following transitions can you do:

• Weave to underhand weave turning left

• Weave to underhand weave turning right

• Weave/underhand weave to counter/clockwise pinwheel

• Butterfly to underhand butterfly

• 4 kinds of hip reels (clockwise, counter clockwise, underhand split direction, overhand split direction)

• thread the needle

If you can do all these transitions, you're read for the intermediate dance, intermediate moves, intermediate performance and (if you spin fire) the fire performance class.

If you can do half of these transitions, the beginner dance class is for you.
